FUN FACTS: Doedicurus: The South American, heavily armoured herbivorous glyptodont, Doedicurus, that lived during the Pleistocene and Holocene periods 2 million to 8,0007,000 years ago joins the Prehistoric Animal series. The animal was related to present day armadillos, sloths and anteaters and had an average overall length of around 3.6 m (12 ft).
